More about rubber

Our rubber mats greets you welcome and effectively takes care of dirt and wet shoes. Our rubber doormats and shoe trays are made of a mixture of natural rubber and recycled rubber for the best possible strength and quality and are incredibly durable. Did you know that they work just as well outdoors as indoors? They withstand the harshest weather conditions and cold freezing temperatures.

Rubber is a group of polymeric organic substances with elastic properties included in the group of elastomers. Rubber is traditionally made from a milky juice extracted from rubber trees, and is then called ”natural rubber”.

How to process the natural rubber

The rubber tree is tapped by cutting diagonal notches around the treetrunk. The liquid is collected in a bowl which is transported to a rubber factory where acetic acid is added to make the rubber solidify. After a number of different treatments it’s turned into a product, for example, doormats. By blending the natural rubber with some recycled rubber, the quality and durability of our carpets increases further.

Care advice for our rubber mats:

  1. Vacuum or rinse with water to clean.
  2. Shake carefully.
  3. Can be used both inside and outside.
  4. Resistant to all weather conditions.
